Sherwood Queenstown is often praised for its convenient location between the airport and the city center, offering spacious and trendy rooms, some of which feature a handy kitchenette. The onsite restaurant is a highlight for many, thanks to its seasonal menus, so it is a recommended experience. While most guests appreciate the unique ambiance, some have noted that road noise and airport traffic can be noticeable.
The hotel emphasizes environmental sustainability, which I appreciated. The staff was very friendly and quite helpful . I also liked the on-site restaurant. The food was excellent. The hotel provides a sauna and options for yoga sessions..
I found the parking situation a bit challenging at times, as spaces were often limited.
Service
9/10
The staff members were attentive. They promptly addressed my inquiries about local attractions. The reception area offers maps and brochures detailing nearby hiking trails.
Dining
8/10
The restaurant sources ingredients from its garden. I saw staff picking fresh herbs in the morning. The menu offers several vegetarian choices. I found the presentation of each dish artful.

Adequate stay, SOME issues noticed
weak pressure fluctuating temperature
true
The room LACKED proper soundproofing. I could hear EVERYTHING from the hallway and neighboring rooms, difficult to relax. the bathroom could use some updating, especially the shower. The water pressure was weak, AND the temperature fluctuated A LOT.

low pressure water poor channel selection
true
the shower was terrible low pressure water made showering frustrating i hate that the hotel tried to spin recycled army blankets as sustainable design they just looked cheap and old the lack of basic tea and coffee options you expect at this price point was annoying poor tv channel selection added to the disappointment the radiator didn't work so the living area was cold and the outside lights shined right into the room all night making it hard to sleep
